Spring Fashion: Transitional Coat for Spring

Transitional Coat for Spring

Trench Coat : Lord and Taylor

We’re at the transitional time of year where the weather is starting to warm up, but it’s not quite warm enough yet to go outside without a lighter weight coat or jacket. Quite frankly I’ll be happy when I can go outside without any coat! Fortunately, for the in between weather where it can be chilly and rainy, a trench coat is perfect.

The trench coat is a timeless piece that will be in style for years to come and can be dressed up or down. A classic trench isn’t a trendy piece whose popularity comes and goes. It’s a piece that can be worn for many years to come and is definitely a worthwhile investment.

The trench coat I’m pictured wearing is light but still manages to keep me warm in chillier temperatures. I like that it has a hood to ward off the wind and keep me dry on rainy days. I also prefer the longer look for trench coats for coverage on days when I wear a dress or a skirt. The long length still looks good with pants. One thing I like about trench coats in general is the strap at the waist that gives many body types a defined waist.
