Styling a Bold Print Dress for Spring/Summer

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! It also happens to be my birthday and hence I decided to step it up a little with my printed sundress. I bought this sundress last year when it first premiered in the Venus catalog and this is my first time wearing it. Venus’s sundresses are super cute and unique and definitely turn heads. They can also be dressed up or down and can easily go from day to night. I’ve worn their sundresses with cardigans to work for the day and as pictured above for going out.
The sundress is considered maxi length with a high low hemline which is perfect for keeping legs cool while still achieving coverage around the legs. Along with the hemline, what really stood out to me about this dress was the print. I love a bold print as it can really make a statement in a fun way and spice up an outfit. Some people shy away from bold prints but the key to styling them is toning down the accessories worn with them.
Pictured above I pair the print with colors found in the dress. The accessories make a statement while also not taking away from the dress. They serve to enhance the look of the dress by not being too big or bright and clashing with the dress. I chose 2 colors found in the dress in order to play them up. The jewelry brings out the pink print in the dress while the shoes and purse match the black.
