Beauty Posts: Summer Skincare Must Haves

Summer Skincare Must Haves

While according to the calendar summer is a couple of weeks away, the temperatures have been heating up as if summer is already here. With the change in temperatures comes a change in the skincare products I use. The products tend to be lighter weight as my skin gets more oily during the summer and the lighter products help to mitigate my pores getting clogged. I feature products that are both refreshing and meet skincare needs for the summer heat.

Lotion: Victoria’s Secret PINK Water Lotion Ultra Light Moisture Lotion with Ocean Extracts, Body Wash: Soap and Surf Gel Wash with Ocean Extracts

I have always been a huge fan of Victoria’s Secret bath and body products as just about every product I’ve smelled by them smells amazing and they’re effective at meeting skincare needs. The Victoria’s Secret PINK Water lotion and Soap and Surf body wash are the perfect summer bath or shower combo. The body wash is a very light gel with exfoliating beads that lather very well so a little goes a long way. The lotion is super light, has the consistency of water, and absorbs in the skin very fast so it also does not require a lot of application. The scent of both products makes me think I’m sitting on the shore of a beach right next to the ocean being splashed by waves washing up on the shoreline.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser

The struggle is real for me to find a facial cleanser that won’t be too harsh and heavy on my sensitive facial skin, especially during the summer months when my skin gets extra oily. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser is great for providing just the right amount of moisture without weighing skin down with too much heaviness. It goes on light but lathers well when mixed with water and has a soft scent that reminds me of the smell of the ocean. It contains exfoliating beads making it a 2-in-1 product both for cleansing and exfoliating and is good for daily use.

Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen

As you can probably tell by now I am very fond of Neutrogena skincare products. They are great for sensitive skin as they won’t clog pores and they are very affordable. I like that they make sunscreen for sensitive skin that is effective at protecting skin from harsh sun rays. This sunscreen is very thick due to its high SPF level, so I only use a pea sized amount when applying it so it won’t leave a white residue. A great sunscreen is a must for the summer and I found a great match for my skin with this product. It’s also water resistant which is good for when the skin perspires as it won’t wear off.
