How to Style a Trench Dress for the Summer
Trench dresses have seen an uptick in popularity within the past couple of years. They are versatile and can be worn for a number of occasions and a number of different ways. I’m sharing how to style one for the summer for a chic look that can easily transition from office chic to girls’ day or night out.
I’m wearing a sleeveless trench dress which is perfect for the warmer weather months. I accessorize it with a handbag that has accents of the cream color of the dress in the bag. I also style it with sandals that have accents of cream in them. Since the dress is simple, I added a statement necklace to make the outfit pop. When wearing a simple outfit, I like to let the accessories stand out and enhance the outfit. With the dress being cream I could have also worn brighter colored accessories with it for the summer like pink or yellow.
Shown above is how I would style a trench dress during the summer months for work, church, or it could also be worn for going out by swapping the tote for a clutch.
