I don’t know about you, but I’ve been enjoying the rise in temperatures and resurrecting my summer clothes. While I’m still working from home, I have had a few opportunities to get dressed up throughout the week and it really boosted my mental state. This week’s outfit is inspired by those days when you want to be comfortable yet still look business-like at work, especially on days when work can be hectic. With the temperatures rising it’s also important to stay cool, yet keep attire appropriate for your work environment. This outfit offers the best of both worlds.

The dress is light and thin but does not require a slip underneath (which is very important during the summer as no one wants to layer when it’s hot outside). It’s also wrinkle resistant making it great for those mornings when you don’t have time to iron or don’t feel like it. The feel of the dress is very comfortable and it’s almost comparable to the feel of lounge wear, while still being business casual. As comfortable as this dress is I could wear it while working from home! The shoes are espadrilles which are comfortable and can be dressed up or down. This pair came with a navy ribbon for if I decide to switch the leather strap out with the ribbon for it to lace around my ankles.

I paired the outfit with the tote to give it a polished business look, while bringing out the beige in the shoes, and giving the outfit a pop of neutral color. While the dress is comfortable and business-like at the same time, the purse says “I mean business.”

Speaking of business, has anyone returned to their physical work location yet? How has the transition been? Either way, I hope everyone has a great week!
